When the whistle blows, we will focus on winning and drive our players and teams to outscore, outlast, and outhustle any volleyball club that steps in our path.
But first, we want to thank all the other clubs in the 330, all the club directors, coaches, leaders, and staff who have helped us and who are doing such a great job at what they do. Here’s the list of people and clubs we respect, thank, and honor as we launch the 2023-24 JO Volleyball season…
Ohio Xtreme – New director, Jamie Angelo, has been incredibly helpful, encouraging, and supportive to us as friends and people on the same mission here – to provide quality and competitive volleyball to young people and their families in the 330. Jamie, Coach Derek Anders, and the rest of the team are a tremendous resource and we are excited for them as they move into the Sport Dome in North Canton for much of this next season!
Elite Sports Ohio – Here’s a club that helps so many Volleyball players and their families in so many ways. Their resources, coaching staff, and positive example has helped countless players improve, excel, and love the game of volleyball. We would be silly not to learn from them and thank them and partner with them whenever we can. I’ve learned a lot already from Laurie and Alyssa and love the way they care about kids and the sport!
Zero Gravity – Chuck Musselman is freaking awesome. We enjoyed being a part of ZG two years ago and he’s been a terrific coach, encourager, and developer for players but also for me as a director. I can’t wait to see his teams and his tournaments in February, but I’m more grateful for his willingness to help us navigate our launch.
The OVR Leadership Board – Bill Zehler, Al Herbert, and especially Linnea Wolf have been awesome resources and have continued to encourage the forming of new clubs like ours around the state and region. “Wolf,” as some of her players have called her, has been priceless with her feedback, ideas, encouragement, and experience. Thanks to the OVR for making our launch both well-informed and smooth, at least so far!
Lake Head Varsity Coach, Derek Anders – He’s been super helpful for ideas, advice, connections, and encouragement. I’ve learned a lot from Derek and other coaches around the area, and am grateful for how he’s seen our “idea” and helped us get some legs, some traction, and some new friends along the way.
That’s the list! Huge thank you to all of you for what you already do for Volleyball players in the 330!
We look forward to making friends with other clubs, coaches, leaders, and players around the 330, and we’ve always heard good things about Impact, Nova, Club Extreme, and others. The sport has been growing at such a rapid pace, perhaps more clubs will form in the years to come!
For now, “going Rogue” isn’t better than any of these people or clubs… we have been blessed by them!
