October Update… Teams, Tryouts, and Thoughts…

That’s right, October is FLYING by, and school volleyball seasons are coming to an end.

What does that mean? Well, for some people, it’s a much-needed break and time to catch up on other things and family time and homework.

But it also means we are very close to CLUB VOLLEYBALL SEASON! Most of that officially starts in what we have come to know as “Rogue-vember!” With that in mind, here are some key updates about Rogue330 volleyball and some dates to look forward to…

14U TRYOUTS THIS SATURDAY!!! Our 14 Regional Spark team has their tryout and open gym this Saturday (10/25) from 2-4pm at SPIKE Sports Plex. Click this link for info and registration! We are also inviting some of our other Rogue players (ages 15-18) to open gym that day if their school seasons are completed – same time, 2-4pm on a different court at SPIKE Sports Plex. If you are a 14U and not able to attend the tryout, let us know, as we are working on some other options to evaluate players and fit for this team. As of 10/22, we have players coming from Lake, Louisville, Canton McKinley, GlenOak, Lake Center Christian, Hoover, and Tuslaw!

15U (AND OTHERS) TRYOUT ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH – Our 15 Regional Ignite team has their tryout on Sunday, November 9 from 3-5pm. Check out this link for the 15U details, schedule, and open gym registration. 15U eligible player families are able to text our Director Gary Underwood (330-685-7255) to let us know you’re interested. We don’t need to wait until November 9 to start putting the team together!

16U SPOTS AND TRYOUT UPDATE – Our 16 Regional Flame team is looking to add three or four true team-players who stand out in November at our 11/9 or 11/16 open gyms. We are very excited about the already-committed players (Six), and also very optimistic about all of the players who have contacted us about this team over the past three months. Here’s a link to the 16 Flame page! Note: If you’re hoping to make a 16U team this club season, we encourage players to try out at 3 or 4 places in November. There are a lot of good clubs in our area and you want to make sure you find the right fit for you.
