Rogue330 ramps up this month! With tryouts for our 14 Spark and 15 Ignite teams and inviting a new generation of Rogues, we are having a blast. Coach Taliyah Johnson (14s) and Coach Mandy Dale (15s) are excited to meet all of them over the next few weeks and it’s quite a process to assemble new teams.
Through it all, we remind each player that she MATTERS. She loves volleyball and has POTENTIAL. She has a room full of coaches and new friends who are FOR HER – encouraging, positive, honest, and real. Everyone makes mistakes – that’s life, and that’s volleyball. Rogue330 will make mistakes too. But we learn, live, and love. We humbly admit messups, we are hungry to improve, and we hustle on days ending in Y.
Our 14U roster is full, and we will lock in our tournament schedule and jersey numbers and all that this week.
Our 15U roster is filling up, thanks to tryouts yesterday and two terrific players already in the fold from Lake and GlenOak. Lake AND GlenOak?? I guess Federal League enemies become friends for club season!
Our 16U team now has seven (or eight?) commitments and we have a couple of roster offers that are out, waiting to find the right fits for the “core” of a team that looked terrific at last night’s open gym. And yes, that team also has Lake and GlenOak, along with McKinley, Walsh, and Marlington. Yes, Dukes!
Our 17U team looks like world-beaters. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but Coach Kaleigh Courtock’s group is going to break a lot of hearts in the OVR this season. Sheesh.
Our 18U teams are near-full but the rosters aren’t “set yet.” I mean, we have two 18-Regional teams and so far 17 players committed, and we have focused in on adding two more players who we think would be fantastic additions.
